This drive also features leading technologies such as Dual-Striped Magneto Resistive (DSMR) heads. DSMR heads allow data to be stored at a very high density providing higher capacity and enhanced reliability. It squeezes more data on each disk reducing the number of disks and heads required for a given capacity. With fewer heads and disks per GB the drive uses less power and generates less heat and sound.
